I'm Malcolm Birtwell. I'm a teetotal self taught-guitarist that learned to play by replicating the sounds of The Cure. In a pre-internet world I achieved this by moving the needle on my LPs to listen to Robert Smith's guitar sound over and over again. I've been in lots of bands and have been writing poetry and music since my teens.
Halo's Edge is my band that I founded ten years ago. We're based in Norwich, Norfolk
I have collaborated with many musicians and songwriters over the years.
I believe in the power of music to inspire, uplift, and connect people. In 2013 I started a successful open mic Rock the Lobster because I think music is so important. I am also chair of 1.3 East - Cromer's Fringe Festival and have been active in local music events since the 80s.
